About Coloma Communications
We’ve been building effective web sites for small businesses, organizations and communities since 1995. We started with the Coloma Valley web site, which promotes tourism, business and community in the Coloma-Lotus area of El Dorado County, in northern California’s Gold Country. Soon after, we created a site for real estate broker/agent Candy Wall. We are pleased and proud to note that after over ten years she is still our good client and friend.
In January, 2005, we moved back to our beautiful home state of Oregon, to be near family members in Portland, Albany and Corvallis. We continue to service our northern California customers via telephone, email, fax, and periodic visits, and are excited about working with our new Willamette Valley clients as well. Our focus continues to be small businesses and community organizations.
Over the years we have learned that it is not enough to simply have a web site. You also need to get people to visit the site. And once they’ve arrived, you need to provide an experience that motivates them to stay, return, and purchase your goods or services. A pleasing graphic “look and feel” is essential, but equally important is fresh, useful and easily found content. We specialize in optimizing sites for search engines and for usability.
Our experience has also taught us that site maintenance is often overlooked when designing a web site. Frequently-updated content is key to bringing people back to your site. To make it easy for people to keep their own pages fresh, we created our McWebby Web Site Manager. After we install McWebby and customize it for your site, you can update your calendar of events, real estate listings or open houses, links to local resources, news updates — any information that changes frequently. And your site doesn’t look like a cookie cutter template. The database content is in the same style as the rest of the page.
Of course, you may decide that your time is better spent on other aspects of your business — in which case we are happy to update your site for you, either on an “as-needed” basis or with a monthly or annual contract.
Our goal is to do whatever is necessary to make your web site work for you and your business, organization, or community. Contact us today and let us know how we can be of service.
